The Precinct: Parking Meter Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

In The Precinct, parking meters are not a finite set of "collectibles" like Artifacts or Plaques.

Instead, they are functional environmental objects scattered across the more urbanised districts of Averno City, and enforcing violations at expired meters is one of the most reliable ways to earn XP and progress toward three separate trophies.

Three Trophies Tied to Parking Enforcement

  • Ruined Their Day — issue 3 valid parking violation tickets. The easiest of the three, introduced directly during Day 2 of the story via three staged vehicles.

  • Fine Work — issue 10 valid parking violation tickets within a single shift. Shift timers can keep running past their initial countdown, so there's no need to rush — tickets issued after the timer expires still count toward this trophy.

  • The Most Hated Person in Averno City — issue 50 valid parking violation tickets across any number of shifts. This one takes longer, and using an interactive map to plan a route through high-density meter clusters significantly speeds up the grind compared to random patrol encounters.

How to Spot a Valid Violation

If unsure whether a vehicle qualifies for a ticket, open the Officer Handbook, which provides visual examples of every ticketable offence.

Many cars display multiple stacked violations simultaneously — an Expired Meter combined with a Sidewalk Obstruction, for example.

Only one ticket is issued per vehicle regardless of how many violations apply, but checking the surroundings first ensures no easy XP opportunity is missed while walking past.

Rank 16: Sharper Radar Detection

Once Police Officer Rank 16 is reached, the patrol radar becomes noticeably more sensitive to environmental infractions, making "stale" expired meters far easier to spot while simply driving past in a squad car rather than needing to stop and check each meter manually.

High-Density Meter Clusters

Several locations across Averno City contain 5 Parking Meters in a single cluster — particularly around subway station entrances, park perimeters, and stretches along the city's highway.

Targeting these dense clusters during a dedicated parking enforcement shift is significantly more efficient than patrolling scattered single-meter locations individually.

Every Parking Meter location, including all high-density clusters, is marked on our unique interactive The Precinct map for planning efficient enforcement routes.
